Laura Wood
Playful, dreamer, and asks a lot of questions during lessons
Laura started riding as an adult as a reward to herself after finishing her PhD in mental health counseling. She just celebrated her three year riding anniversary in December 2018. She lives in New York City and drives an hour and a half to ride at Penwick Sport Horses in New Jersey. She daydreams about owning a OTTB, being in the cross country field, and doing photoshoots with horses.
Barbara Fiore
Dedicated, Original, Indomitable spirit
After years of only doing head to tail trail rides, Barbara started taking lessons at 30 in a quest to learn more. She started out with an interest in pure dressage but fell in love with cross country during her first year at Vershire Riding school. No stranger to adversity, Barbara supports her riding by being an adult working student at her barn and riding her friends pony, Rocket in her backyard.
Leigh Newman
Adventurous, Pragmatic, Endlessly Curious
Leigh started taking riding lessons with a friend on a whim while living in San Antonio, although she had an interest in the sport for some time. She has been learning to ride for about 2.5 years, mostly in eventing barns. She currently lives in the DC metro area.
